From April 27 - May 5 2009, I attended the Taiwan East Asia International Geopark Conference at the generous invitation of Professor Jiun-Chuan Lin, Taiwan National University and Professor Denys Brunsden (World Heritage Coast, Dorset). After the presentation of keynote talks we toured several of the new National Geoparks including Penghu Islands to the west, and North-east Coast and Taroko National Park.
I brought home extensive scientific and happy memories of Taiwan and its people and place.
